Kanban
Kanban is a visual work management method, organized in columns representing the steps of a workflow (to do, in progress, done), which limits work in progress to smooth out delivery.
Why it matters
By making each step's actual workload visible, it quickly reveals bottlenecks that a simple schedule would not show.

A support team caps the number of tickets in progress at five on its Kanban board to avoid overload.
