AI Agent
An AI agent is a system able to plan and execute a sequence of actions autonomously to reach a goal, relying on an LLM and external tools, rather than simply answering a single question.
Why it matters
Agents pave the way for automating complex multi-step tasks, but raise new governance questions: which actions can an agent take without human validation?

An AI agent automatically collects the missing documents in a due diligence file, follows up with contacts by email and updates the file's status.
