Prompt Engineering
Prompt engineering is the practice of formulating and structuring the instructions given to a generative AI model to obtain more relevant, reliable and usable responses.
Why it matters
The same model can produce very uneven results depending on prompt quality; it is often the fastest and cheapest lever to improve an existing AI use case.
Concrete example
By specifying the expected format, target audience and examples in the prompt, a team gets far more usable summaries from its AI assistant.
